What is the EB-5 Program?
The EB-5 (Employment-Based Fifth Preference) program is a U.S. government initiative created to stimulate economic development. Investment Requirements for EB-5
Investment Amount
- $800,000 for projects in Targeted Employment Areas (TEAs)
- $1,050,000 for projects outside TEAs
Job Creation
- Each investment must create at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers.
Legal Source of Funds
- Investors must demonstrate that their investment capital is from a lawful source.
EB-5 Application Process
- Select a project that meets the program's requirements.
- Prepare application documents and proof of lawful investment funds.
- Submit the I-526 petition, which is the initial EB-5 investment application.
- Once the I-526 petition is approved, apply for conditional green cards.
- Receive a 2-year conditional green card.
- After 2 years, file the I-829 petition to obtain a permanent green card.
